Amazing Grace
Words By John Newton 1725-1807
Music: Scottish – Irish American Folk Heritage

But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus,
in order that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
not as a result of works, that no one should boast,
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2: 4-10 NAS)

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

T’was Grace that taught my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear
The hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
‘Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far
and Grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promised good to me.
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.

Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.

When we’ve been here ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun.
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’ve first begun.

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

Receiving Jesus Christ into your life is a personal decision that you as a man a woman must make for yourself with your freewill.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:16 NAS) John Newton knew this to be true, I know this to be true, the “message of truth” (Ephesians 1:13 NAS), “the gospel of your salvation” (Ephesians 1:13 NAS). —- having also believed, you were sealed in him with the Holy Spirit of promise. —– The Holy Spirit of promise, He is the “eternal moment” past–present- future. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, yes and forever. (Hebrews 13:8 NAS) If you as a person want to know God’s free gift of grace and receive eternal life, then believe in the name of Jesus, repent and be saved. This is the message of truth. This is the message of grace from God’s word.

Sincerely,
God Bless You
